What’s this, shining on our quay like a mirror ?

It’s a massive converter, the new heart of our customers’ sulphuric acid facility. Its body is made from solid stainless steel and fully isolated with mineral wool, covered by an – indeed brilliant – outside layer of aluminium.

This complex item was designed in-house, carefully constructed in our workshops and now moved from our production hall to the quay, ready for shipment. We are currently in the process of putting the last touches to the insulation of the associating gas ducts, that come with the converter. This means we are perfectly in schedule for the installation in April.

The replacement of the old converter fits within the client’s measures to meet the SO2 emission requirements. Geldof is happy to have contributed to the company’s sustainable transition!
